Why Did We Choose Unity Stage School?

On the 28th February 2026, something very special is coming to Greater Manchester. Our first ever inclusive event, Limitless, in association with Beyond Models is debuting at Edgeley Park in Stockport, with 50% of the profit from ticket sales going to a very deserving local CIC - Unity Stage School. We will also be raising money on the night with donations and a raffle! Buy your Limitless tickets here.

Who are Unity Stage School CIC?

Unity are a fully inclusive Musical Theatre training provider offering tuition in the Tameside area. Their classes are run through their stage school – Unity and they operate classes from Dukinfield Old Chapel on Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings. They are also the proud founders of the Build a Future foundation. The foundation was created to offer subsidiary funds for young people in the Tameside area who are wanting to access Stage / Performance training. Through Unity Stage School they also offer performances, entertainment, fundraising and other large events that benefit the local community and bring together its members.

Unity Stage School was founded in 2021 by their proprietor Catherine Cooper (@mrsbird94). The none profit organisation was established to provide a safe space for young people to access the arts, who may have not had the opportunity to in the past. The motto of 'Equality through Diversity' holds strong within Unity's mission and they hold a duty to ensure each student is accepted by all members of the community. In previous years Unity have helped students with identity crisis, mental health, physical disability and financial hardship to find a place of security and comfort. The organisation offers a safe space for all who wish to join and through the work of the Build a Future foundation, they can continue this work. The team at Unity aspire to expand and advance to support as many young people as they can.

Why Do Unity Need Our Support?

As Unity are a none profit organisation their access to funding is very limited and their future could be in jeopardy. Jo & Natalie attended their recent summer show and saw first hand the impact Unity has on everybody involved. It truly is a safe space that the students can be 100% themselves and discover their own self confidence through the arts. Jo & Natalie have since spent time with some of them, and have got to know their personal backgrounds, the struggles they face and how much Unity actually means to them. Witnessing the transformative impact Unity had on students, families, and staff, they couldn't help but dive headfirst into supporting this amazing cause.
